The paperback costs $15.95 -- a $9 savings over the limited-edition hardback. And this year's state fair special: Buy both The Key to Space and Survivor Planet paperbacks for $19 -- almost $4 off regular price.

  There still are a few copies left of the limited-hardback edition of The Key to Space for $24.95. The 250 signed and numbered copies are being sold from No. 250 downward. There are fewer than 90 remaining.

  The state fair will open Friday, Aug. 26, and run through Labor Day, Sept. 6. Fair hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. except Friday and Saturday nights when the fair is open until 11 p.m.

  The Oregon Authors Table is located inside the Americraft Center at the west end of the fairgrounds.
